“After using the Forerunner for a couple of weeks, I was amazed at how incredibly helpful it was to see the results of my labor in real-time clicking away on my wrist.  And you can probably imagine that if I thought the basic features of the Forerunner were great, my reaction the first time I used MotionBased was utter bliss.  As I said before, I run on trails and farm roads a lot and the map player function is simply incredible; being able to see an aerial photo of the area with my route marked in red is not only neat, it is rewarding; seeing a real-world view of were I was with my exact pace, time, altitude and location is not only motivating, it is addictive. The combination of the Forerunner coupled with the great features of MotionBased is simply out of this world.” - Full Story

“A year ago, I read this article somewhere about something called a Forerunner 301 by Garmin. The article also made reference to an on-line service provided at www.Motionbased.com. It sounded pretty cool to me, so I had to get the 301. I was feeling like maybe I should drop a couple of pounds and pick the running up a little. I’ve been running off and on for the 19 years, but I was just not as consistent as I should have been. I've never been one for really keeping track of how far and fast I run. That is, not until the Forerunner 301, Training Center and MotionBased. I signed up for the free version of MB. I was hooked within a couple months” - Full Story

“It wasn't until a friend of mine who works at ESRI, developer of geographic information system technology, told me about MotionBased that I realized the potential of GPS for my training. I signed up and started uploading my ride data and couldn't believe the comprehensive look into my cycling activities that it provided. The charts and graphs are better than any training diary I've ever kept and the Map Player and Dot Racing provide an interactive view of my progress. The interface is easy to understand and navigate and the variety of map views is outstanding. I ride in the mountains a lot and the satellite images of the routes are awesome.”  - Full Story
