Wooldridge Boats

Wooldridge Boats celebrated its 90th Anniversary last year, and moved into a much larger factory and showroom which includes historic memorabilia dating back to those first ever trips by Grandpa Wooldridge. These included such headliners as the Rogue, Salmon, Klamath and more. Since that historic first ever trip down the Rogue from Grants Pass to Gold Beach, Wooldridge has pioneered designs, innovations and refined the function of jet and prop boats for getting the best of the outdoors. The result is a highly refined lineup of inboard and outboard jet boats as well as outboard prop boats including a new Super Sport Pilothouse XL series and Deep Water Plus Pilothouse with cuddy (shown). A few of the readily identifiable characteristics of Wooldridge Boats include the two piece walk-thru windshield with recessed bow, forward walk-around on many models, wide bottoms, outboard jet tunnel and high performance handling throughout the lineup. For extreme whitewater, Wooldridge offers the Classic, a broad bow inboard jet that offers the ultimate in big water control and performance. The Xtra Plus and Alaskan (wider bottom, higher sides and almost 16 square feet more inside room in the 17-footer for 2006) and the Alaskan II are square bow boats designed for superior performance on the river, but can serve double duty on big waters. In the pointed-bow boat lineup, the Sport, Super Sport, Sport Drifter, Sportstour, Sport and SS Offshore as well as Deep Water Plus lineup offer a selection of boats to meet every boaters need. The Sport and Sportstour are especially suited to using prop and jet power, swapping outboard drive units to suit the seasonal needs. There are many deep water models with offshore brackets, cuddy and full cabins as well as the optimum furnishings for fishing and cruising. You?ll find lots of creature comforts in Wooldridge Boats, including dry storage compartments, fish boxes and a list of options that never ends. Garmin electronics are featured on many boats, from diminiuitive fish finders to the full meal deal, including Radar, GPS and Sounders. Another feature common to the Wooldridge name is the Stainless Steel outboard jet impeller design created by company President Glen Wooldridge. These boost performance and longevity and are widely recognized and used throughout the world on outboard jets. A free copy of the Collectors Anniversary Edition of On-the-Water Excitement is available from Wooldridge at 1303 S. 96th St, Seattle, WA 98108.
