We have developed this program in an effort to get Garmin products in the hands of genuine members of the press who can effectively report on our innovations and review our products. We sincerely want writers and editors to see, touch, and evaluate our products for legitimate news coverage.
We have a limited supply of new products to consign for review. Therefore, requests for a consigned unit must be submitted through this online form:
While we request that reviewers observe a standard 30-day loan period, we are flexible and will work to accommodate editorial deadlines and extended media projects. We simply ask that you communicate your need for a loan extension and return the products in the agreed-upon timeframe. This way, we will be able to meet the requests of other writers on our waiting list. The exact loan period will be provided in a confirmation letter accompanying the loaned unit.
Please Note: Before your request is fulfilled, Garmin Media Relations may contact you for a credit card account. We will use this information only if the loaned unit is not returned or is reported stolen or lost. Since we will need to replace the unit to effectively respond to other media requests for loaned products, we will bill the cost of the lost unit to the reviewer's credit card.
Only editors and reporters from bona fide news organizations may purchase certain Garmin products at a special discount in lieu of, or after, the consignment period. Purchasing requests for Garmin products must be made in writing and must include the following information:
These requests can be sent to media.relations@garmin.com (subject line: Media Purchase Program).
Due to legal, logistical and other business reasons, Garmin strictly limits the practice of drafting or allowing third party press releases or advertisement testimonials – whether they are issued by Garmin or external business entities. Garmin reserves the right to grant exceptions to this policy.
