Insurance premiums are paid entirely by Garmin on 2 of the 3 Blue Cross Blue Shield of KC plans for full-time associates, spouses and their dependents. Associates are eligible the first of the month following their date of hire.

Dental insurance

Premiums are paid entirely by Garmin for full-time associates. Additional fees may be incurred if the provider is not a participating Delta Dental dentist.

Garmin matches 75 cents of every dollar contributed, up to 10 percent of an associate’s salary.

Accident & critical illness coverage

Life insurance

Garmin covers the associate at 1 times his/her annual salary. Accidental death and dismemberment pays out at 2 times the associate’s annual salary.

3 weeks paid time off per year

Amounts increase at 5 and 10 years of service. Balances can be rolled over to the next year.

Vision insurance

Avesis provides associates and covered family members with discounted contact lenses and glasses (exam covered under medical insurance).
