Astro Legal DC40

We were asked to make some minor modifications on the radio interface of DC40. This has no influence on compatibility with Astro 320 and Astro 220. After adjusting the radio interface DC40 has been re-certified for the European Market under CE (!).

The modified products can be identified via a separate serial number range for DC 40. This serial number range lies above the number 216050699

All DC 40 products with a Serial number above 216050699 have been produced after the adjustment.

The serial number can be easily found on the product packaging and on the device itself way:

1. On the product packaging
On Astro 320 and DC 40 bundle packaging The serial number can be found on the upper left corner of the front of the packaging


On DC 40 packaging The serial number can be found on the top of the backpacking in the center right below the Garmin symbol

2. Directly on the DC 40 unit
The serial number can be found below the bottom plate of the DC 40 right on the device. You have to unscrew the bottom plate as pointed out below to retrieve the serial number.
